If you need to find the location of public water and sewer pipes - for example, on your street or around your property - you will need a Sewer & Water Plan. This, the first of our guides, walks you through the process.

Step 1: Start Your Order

Navigate to the SafeMove homepage. You can begin your order in one of two ways:

• Option A: Click the tab at the top of the page.
• Option B: Click the primary button on the main banner.

Step 2: Select Your Plan

On the Map Order page, you will see our list of products. For most standard applications, we recommend the Sewer and Water Plans (via email) product.

Select your product and click Next in the bottom right corner.

Important: Know what is (and isn't) included.

1. Public Assets Only: Plans only display public water and sewer assets owned and plotted by Yorkshire Water.
2. Private Pipes: Yorkshire Water do not keep records of or display private water and drainage pipes (the pipes that run inside your property boundary).
3. Depth Data: If you choose a plan with "depths," please note that sewer invert depths are not recorded by Yorkshire Water in all areas.

Step 3: View Details and Samples

If you wish to see what a typical plan looks like before you buy, follow these steps:

1. Hover over the Sewer and Water Mains Plans menu at the top of the page.
2. Select Sewer and Water Plans from the dropdown.
3. Click through the options to see detailed descriptions - for example Sewer and Water Plans (via email), and choose "download a sample map".
