The Utilities Report with Digital Overview Plan
A Digital Utility Overview Plan is a visual line representation of the information found in each utility report received from each utility company on one plan. Suitable background mapping needs to be purchased with each order, either large scale Ordnance Survey MasterMap® or medium scale Ordnance Survey Vector Map Local®. Orders for Digital Utility Overview Plans must be placed at the same time as the order for the Utilities Report for the site.
The resulting Digital Utility Overview Plan can be supplied as a layer PDF document or as AutoCAD DXF or DWG file, both containing a series of GIS layers each relating to assets from a single utility company. For sites below an area of 500 hectares the Digital Utility Overview Plan will be delivered on the 20th working day from the initial order placement, for sites with an area between 501 and 750 hectares delivery will be on the 25th working day and for sites with an area of between 751 and 1000 hectares delivery will be on the 30th working day after initial order placement.
The cost of a plan is dependent on the area of the site, plans can be ordered for sites up to a size of 1000 hectares. For sites above this threshold, please submit a plan to us via email
Please Note: The plan is only intended to give a visual representation of the location of utility plant on site. It will not contain any further information such as, plant depths, plant sizes, capacities or plant types. For anything other than a line type representation of the location of the plant then you will need to refer to the actual response provided inside your Utility Report. The Digital Utility Overview Plan only represents a location based overview of the location of utility plant. The plan is provided for illustrative purposes only and appropriate site verification work must be undertaken by the client before any excavation work is carried out.
Delivery times of a Digital Utility Overview Plan are based upon the site area of the order rather the delivery service of the Utility Report that the Plan has been purchased with.
