SafeMove’s Society Plan: an annual plan to deliver economic, environmental and social benefits to our local community.

SafeMove’s approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR) is founded on the principle that the interests of the environment, customers, and society at large are best served through the efficient, effective, and proper operation of our business.

This is achieved through a clear strategic focus on providing excellent customer service, strong financial and environmental performance, and effectively managing the relationships we have with our people, service partners, and society.

Society Plan

Part of this strategy is SafeMove’s Society Plan, an annual plan to deliver economic, environmental, and social benefits to our local community.

Our society plan coordinates the delivery of all our community activities, and each year we survey our staff, customers, and other stakeholders to understand which community projects and good causes they would like us to support.

Since we first began our society strategy in 2014, the SafeMove team has worked with over 40 organisations, raised several thousand pounds, and contributed hundreds of volunteer hours over the years for our chosen charities and good causes.

Our 2024-25 Choices

As the fiscal year 2023-24 ended, we asked our employees and customers to help us decide which good causes and organisations SafeMove could support for its societal goals in 2024-25.

Bradford's Marie Curie Hospice and Wyke Foodback (part of the Trussell Trust network) have been chosen as charitable causes for 2024-25. Both will be the focus of our volunteering activities for the year.

Some of the other good causes and charities that we have worked with over the years have included:

  • Yorkshire Air Ambulance
