12 March 2025We wish to inform you of an important update regarding Local Authority searches affected by North Yorkshire Council’s ongoing operations and IT systems migration project.
North Yorkshire Council’s former regions consisted of Craven, Hambleton, Harrogate, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough, and Selby. Harrogate will be the first region to migrate from 1 April 2025, affecting all Local Authority search results (official and regulated). This transition will cause temporary delays in CON29* searches:
- Searches submitted before 1 April: Will be processed as usual, with a target return date of 11 April or earlier.
- Searches submitted between 1–28 April: Will be held until their new IT system is fully operational. Such results are expected to be returned from 5 May onwards, but please note that a backlog of four weeks will need to be processed.
Unfortunately, we have no control over these delays, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause you and your clients while North Yorkshire Council goes through this transition period. Updates will be provided as we receive them.
Please reach out to your dedicated account manager, details below, or our advisor team if you require further information or assistance with a specific search. We’ll help where we are able.
