Possible CON29DW Query Delays Due to Lockdown 3.0

On the evening of 4th January 2021, Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the nation to announce a third lockdown for England in order to stop the new coronavirus variant.

Unlike the first lockdown in March last year, there is provision within the government’s latest guidance for the housing market to continue and as such, we wanted to reassure our customers that SafeMove will be here to support you with your conveyancing searches as we move into what is becoming known as Lockdown 3.0

Contacting SafeMove During Lockdown 3.0

As we have done since March last year, our staff will continue to work from home and our phone lines (0800 1 385 385), will remain open between 9am and 4pm weekdays.

However, as schools will be closed once again during this latest lockdown, it means that our home working staff with children or other dependants, will need to juggle a family life whilst working.

Therefore, we ask that you please email any queries that you may have using safemove@yorkshirewater.com rather than call our team.

If your query is urgent, and you do need to call us, please be mindful that there may be a few distractions when you call due to people’s working arrangements. We appreciate your understanding.

Queries that Warrant Yorkshire Water's Intervention

Queries related to both of SafeMove's residential and commercial CON29DW Drainage and Water reports could experience extended delays in being resolved if Yorkshire Water intervention is needed during the latest lockdown.

Yorkshire Water have advised that whilst government guidance for key workers such as their technicians does allow for continued working; following evaluation of the risks associated with the new coronavirus variant, Yorkshire Water have taken the decision to stop all non-emergency internal visits to properties.

This cessation includes visiting a property internally to investigate queries related to our residential and commercial CON29DW drainage and water conveyancing reports.

Only a few queries we encounter warrant the need to raise the matter with Yorkshire Water and out of those, they can usually be resolved without the need for a site visit.

If do we anticipate your query my experience an extended delay in its resolution, we will advise you accordingly.
